I have eaten pho all over the country but mostly in LA. I've eaten at Lac Viet hundreds of times now. At first I thought it was only a decent pho. Like a 7/10. But after being in the Columbus for a while, I would rate this pho a 9/10. It's only $5. Always hot, fresh, and delicious. Served super quick too (like 90 seconds). The people who run Lac Viet are a total pleasure as well. All told: although it isn't as good as west-coast pho, this is one of my favorite pho restaurants. I'll miss it when I leave Columbus. Watch out for the long lines of locals at lunchtime.

Lac Viet is a great place to go for that sudden pho craving - the broth, noodles and overall soup is really good!!!!! The service is great and they serve the food real fast! I'd definitely go back again!!!!

Good, but didn't blow me away; the broth was not as subtly seasoned as some. The meat was a little too chewy, though some pieces had nice ribbons of tasty fat. Came with a little kit on the side (hoisin, sriracha, basil, lime, sprouts).

Price is very, very competitive. It is very hard to find better Vietnamese food better than this. If anyone drops by Columbus, Ohio, try the beef Pho and carry along the grilled chicken sandwich, priced at $6 and $4. No tip. It's so delicious. Don't miss your precious opportunity. A LacViet former customer.

Please note that this review pertains to the Bethel Road location. The owner is Mr. Thang and his dedication to old school methods which allow for no shortcuts is evident in the bowl. I've had no other bowl of Pho which was as balanced... where every ingredient stood well on it's own as well as came together harmoniously. Another compliment was how little condiment i found myself using. The dish was nearly complete on it's own. Extremely delicious and satisfying! The kicker came when Thang offered up some grilled lamb to try with the soup. Excellent! He got me hook line and sinker. Thang is extraordinarily passionate about his Pho and how to make it. The Bethel Road location has only been open for about five months and I wish him much success. He deserves it... and we all deserve Pho this well prepared.
