I prefer the heftier title of Pho connoisseur. I have been to countless Pho restaurants, but I have kept my ordering of Pho quite consistent. Pho Tai, Tai on the side. I have never given up this for any restaurant. Except this one. I tried to order that, and he said no. Taken back, I said, "Excuse me?" "No, it won't taste right. Try it my way". Ever since then, I have fallen in love with that place. The broth is THE BEST in Houston, bar none. Yes, even above Pho Binh Trailer. I have to say though, I am extremely stingy on the broth, and it is the best. He provides a LOT of meat (maybe because I go there so often). The noodles are very good quality. Maybe if you go there, he won't make it the way he makes it for me, so if you're reading this review to the end, tell him that "Tri (pronounced Tree) sent you. He said you make a really good special bowl" and perhaps he'll make it the way he makes it for me.
