I got the name of this restaurant from Rachel Ray website. While the decor is nice, the food is on the other side of the scale.
The Vietnamese coffee was so small that it took me 30 seconds to finish, the rest was just ice.
The chicken Pho (Pho Ga) consisted of Boiled chicken meat that has been frozen for long time (we can smell the freezer smell) and served in beef soup.
The beef pho (Pho Bo) tasted so much like instant pho i.e tasteless, which pretty much can sum up with very basic simple spice, and served with the worst meat balls we ever come across (i.e try the cheapest you can find in Asian super market)
Even our children can not eat the pho, which has always their fav.
The spring rolls are just alright, nothing special, you can get them for $1 each at the super market, while this place charged 2 for $5 - $6/. Those places charged that much in DFW, had a much much better quality rolls.

This is a place to avoid at all cost if you really know Vietnamese food.

Pho Grand is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in St. Louis, however not for pho specifically.

I prefer the pho of others nearby (Phuc Loi, Mama Pho).

The restaurant was very clean and the decor was very nice to look at, I should have known the pho would not be good. The broth tasted instant, the noodles were already mushy and the meatballs were poor quality. I had to ask for jalapenos, limes and a sauce dish. However someone with me is a vegetarian and they said that the noodle salad they had was great.

Not sure why the low reviews of Pho Grand. As a pho addict from Seattle I found this to be a great bowl of soup - nice slightly sweet and meaty broth, paper thin slices of medium rare meat, fresh veggies (including saw leaf herbs), and perfectly cooked noodles.

Service was also outstanding; even though restaurant was packed with waiting list, staff was friendly, patient, and attentive. Only complaint: when on waiting list, they send you to an upstairs "waiting room" that is very stuffy and unpleasant - somewhat like being stuck on the tarmac inside an airplane on the runway.
