I've had Pho at 4 different places now throughout the USA and this is my favorite :) There is a good amount of meat too and the broth has a good deal of complexity even before adding any of the extras. The also have bubble tea and other tasty thai and laotian foods. The prices are good and the staff is friendly and remembers its customers. I'm glad a place like this opened up so close to home. 5/5

The Pho is awesome but also try the Laab! This is the most flavorful dish I have ever had.

Also. the owners are so friendly and welcoming that it's hard not to want them to succeed. Honestly, I'm shocked it's taken so long to have good Lao/Hmong food in the Valley.

This is a great find - I accidentally discovered it when I was going thru the Fazoli's window. Needless to say, I didn't eat Fazolis that day and went back again to PoohSaan the very next day. Great food, friendly owners...you can help but want more!

This place is not good at all. I was really disappointed in their Pad Thai. Also, the Laab is tasteless and too much beansprouts. This is one of the worst place to eat. Also, don't even try their Spring Rolls. It is cheap, but the quality is bad. None of the Southeast Asian Restaurant in Appleton have good spring rolls. My favorite is from the Appleton farmers market. The best Spring Rolls.

This place is a gem! I've tried the Pad Thai, Beef Laab, and the several types of pho they have and I've never been disappointed. They have a few new menu items too; try the pork pho "exotic" style! You won't be disappointed! 5/5 2/17/2010

Honestly, this place is horrible. The Pad Thai is not good at all. Also, the food there is not "exotic" at all. Very common to find it everywhere especially in bigger cities. The pho needs a better tasting broth. I was disappointed with everything! ;( 1/5

This place is amazing! The menu is small but the portions are big. Their prices are very reasonable and the food is fantastic. Best Pad Thai around!

Not impressed. My dish was mostly noodles with a little cabbage, some carrot and a bit some chicken. The sauce was good. But I could have doctored up some Ramen noodles and been as satisfied. I thought it was over-priced considering what I received. The staff was friendly enough considering it was a take-out order.

I disagree about their Pad Thai. They do not have the BEST Pad Thai in the area. Over priced.

I've gone to several different Pho places in Appleton and this one is by far the best so far.
Stay Classy Pooh Saan.

I LOVE this place! The owners are amazingly friendly and eager please. If you want an example of great customer service, visit this place. On top of that their menu, while limited, is AMAZING. Pad Thai, spring rolls, Pho... all are the best in the valley. Great portion size and low prices.

THEY DO NOT HAVE THE BEST SOUTHEAST ASIAN FOOD IN THE CITY. I THINK TASTE OF THAI IS BETTER. THEIR PAD THAI AND SPRING ROLLS ARE HORRIBLE, HOWEVER THEY DO HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. PLEASE NO KIDS AT THE STORE THOUGH.

This restaurant is fantastic! We love the family atmosphere, and you can see them cooking the food right there in the kitchen so you know it's fresh. We go as often as we can:)

I have gone here 3 times and must say I'm becoming an addict. Went yesterday, Tuesday, after having talked about it all weekend. I'm not a Pho connoisseur because I have never tried anyone else's, but it tastes really good to me and that's all that matters. My girlfriend didn't like the laab so much, but she thought the pad thai was amazing. I have gotten only the pho and it's all I need. I love adding the extras to it to spice it up and it gets better and better with each bite. I throw a jalapeno in the beginning when I get it, and it spices it up as it sits in there....great, great stuff. Give a try!

I too have become an addict. My wife and I eat here every other week and our kids love it too. I think we have tried everything on the menu and have not had anything but wonderful food. This is the best asian restaurant in the Appleton area.

Poohsaan is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is so fresh and flavorful. I am hooked on their chicken pho-order it spicy! The owners are really great people!

I love this place!! It is fun and the food is awesome!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It is for sure my favorite. Please don't change anything!!!

Their pho broth is really poor and they use really cheap ingredients in most of their dishes. Quality sucks at this place.

Spring rolls need more flavors and the prices are to expensive for the quality of the food. I will never go there again because the service is slow even though you call ahead for pick up. ;(

The PHO is awesome, just add a little of all the fixings which they give and enjoy. YUM!! Also, I frequently go for the Bun Cha which is fresh and delicious. The owners are friendly. The food is always FRESH!

I went there a few days ago with a group of coworkers and the food was okay. There wasn't a lot of choices to choose from. The salad was not good, but the pho was decent. The staff are friendly, but I wish that the service would be faster. Also, I didn't like the fried rice.

Finally got in to have my first bowl of Pho. It's like 20 below in Appleton and this is definitely what I needed. Excellent! Have always loved their Bubble Tea too. Owners- super nice people!!

Worst Pad Thai in town. Expensive and small portion size. ;(

Local
The food is great for this area, but the service needs to be improved. I've gone there 4-5 times and my order has been screwed up or forgotten about at least 4 out of the 5 times. It is too consistent in that respect.

Incredible pho, even better people. The family is gracious and wonderful and helpful. The apps and specialty drinks are delicious! Great place for a quick lunch or a family dinner!

anonymous
Always out of a key ingredient to make papaya or laab! What can I say about the pho? TASTELESS!

anonymous
Fantastic place! SUPER friendly staff and AWESOME bubble tea!!! Decent prices and there's always something good on the menu!

Really? When we were eating, the owner's children, and an elderly lady who was probably a help in the kitchen came to the table next to us and ate dinner there. I found that very unprofessional, making your work place a family affair.

What I dislike most about this place was not so much that you can hear all the elderly ladies in the kitchen talking, but that they have no regards to their subject of discussion at all.

What went wrong for us was when the pho arrived, and we started eating, the elderly ladies in the kitchen started talking about constipation/diarrhea. Now if we weren't Hmong we wouldn't know, but we are, and we were listening to all this while eating. And that just totall turn me off about the restaurant.
