05/15/09 - Nice little "cozy" restaurant in an old area of town. Not quite as nice and new inside as a few others, but clean and friendly makes up for a lot. The pho here seems like a more authentic version of what you would probably be served abroad. A lot of times, the pho at other places seems a little "American-ized" or just modernized, maybe. This pho had a lighter, peppery broth, nice noodles, meat was cooked well and of a nice cut and tasty onions. The veggies were a bit lacking. Not sure what it was about this bowl, but it stood out from the others in the area. I don't think it was quite the same, but it was good. A little "lighter" maybe. All in all, a nice little place to have some pho that is off the beaten path.
