02/04/09 - Second best bowl of Pho I have had in the Des Moines area. The broth isn't quite up to the flavor of Pho Ha Dao, but the noddles were perfect, the meat balls were higher quality and the meat seemed to be a little beter cut. Broth isn't everything.
This is a new place in Des Moines, but the owners used to run the Siam restaurant in Ankeny, which is a few miles north. The food offerings run the gauntlet of SE Asian cuisine, as most do around this area. Lots of different offerings to choose from.
The restaurant itself is deceiving from the outside. The interior is a very nice, clean space with friendly service from the (I assume) family and friend sort of staff.
Very good and a great new addition to the area.
Highly recommended.
