Great place to have a filling soup

This restaurant gets great ratings all the time. I've been there 3 or 4 times now but have been deeply disappointed each time. Maybe I'm unlucky or my standards are too high.

I ordered General's chicken, had gristle, fat and meat tasted like leather. My husband had chicken with pan fried noodles. Lacked tasted had a funny aftertaste and they were dry. Called and the guy told us to come in to get a refund. My husband went to get a refund and the guy (young, skinny, vietnamese) said we couldn't have a refund unless we got the food, which he never said that over the phone. So my husband says he will be back then the guy says he may not even be able to give us a refund and that he has to talk to the manager. So my husband gets the food which I dug out of the trash, gave them the bag back too, in case they required that too. The manager was there when my husband got back to the restaurant. She was nice, apologetic and gave him the refund. She got onto her staff. I think the manager needs better staff, a new cook that will make sure pans are clean when cooking. Otherwise, they will continue to lose customers.
