02/12/09 - I recently tried the "new" location for A Dong. I had not been for probably 10 years. The food is still good, the menu is still huge and the service still isn't very good. It's not bad, they just have too many different people doing too many different things.
Pho here was good. The broth was nice and clear, the meat was nice and thin and of good quality and the noodles were cooked well. There were not many onions or anything else, other than the herbs and bean sprouts.
Good place for Asian cuisine. Not the best Pho in town, but it is consistent and it is a nice place. The rest of the menu outshines the Pho.

I CRAVE this Pho! Always fresh, always satisfying! I haven't ever even eaten anything else on the menu. D-Lish-Us!

Very disappointed in the Pho...the broth was cloudy with fat floating on top.. I ordered raw beef and tendon, there was no tendon in the Pho. Noodles were a bit chewy.

I really like their pho, I use to eat this almost every weekend with my parents growing up. I feel the bowl is smaller as I'm an adult but no worries if you ask there's a bowl for $12 bucks that you can order. You have to ask for it because it's not on the menu but they'll be happy to serve you it. Broth is tasty, I have to say it's not the best in Des Moines but the taste is always consistent.
